by Secretary-general Mr. J.W.B. Baron van Till:
The Manufacturers Representative Education and Research Foundation (MRERF) and the Institute for Professional Advancement (IPA) have had a strong financial performance in 2006 and increased attendance in the Certification Programs offered by IPA, the Educational Subsidiary of the MRERF.
The Founding Executive Vice President and Director of Education, Dr. Marilyn Friesen retired as of 31 December 2006. Dr. Dan McQuisten, long time instructor in the CPMR Program and Professor at Butler University, has succeeded Dr. Friesen as Director of Education. The operational responsibilities of Executive Director are in the hands of Susannah Hart who has been with the Foundation since 1990.
The 2006 session at Arizona State University saw 259 participants in attendance. The 75 graduates in January brought the total number of CPMR/FP graduates to 1,687. The Certified Sales Professional (CSP) Program has gained in stature and recognition and reps, distributors and manufacturers. The CSP designation was earned by 175 sales professionals in 2006.
MRERF continues to expand in influence and reputation and the ExCom of IUCAB will continue to promote the CPMR Program towards its European Member Associations.
