AUSTRIAN COMMERCIAL AGENTS MET HUNGARIAN COMPANIES IN VESZPREM

The Austrian Federal Association of commercial agents organised a Free Agencies Fair on 22nd of November 2007 in Veszprém (H)
For the second time Austrian commercial agents (members of the Austrian “Bundesgremium der Handelsagenten”) met in the Hungarian city Veszprém Hungarian manufacturers and companies, who are interested to export their products.
Dr. Istvánné Szomogyi (managing director of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce in Veszprém) was pleased about the visitors from Austria and the representatives of Hungarian enterprises. It was a great honour that Dr. Gálffy, Austrian honorary consul for the Komitat Veszprém, participated in the meeting.
Mag. Birgit Braunwieser (ABA - Austrian Business Agency) gave a lecture about the Austrian infrastructure, the market and conditions for especially foreign enterprises to build up a branch in Austria.
The Austrian lawyer Dr. Gustav Breiter (Viehböck Breiter Schenk & Nau Rechtsanwälte OEG) explained “What does a commercial agent do?” and described the situation for an agency agreement particularly. He pointed out that the commercial agent is an independent entrepreneur and earns money only in the case of success.
Mr. Wolfgang Eybner (President of the Austrian Bundesgremium) gave a description about the possibilities to get in contact with commercial agents: Interested companies find on www.commercial-agent.at a free international online platform and can list their offers free of charge in the section “Free Agencies/Company Offers”. In the section “Free Agencies/Offers of Commercial Agents” companies can find offers from commercial agents.
Another opportunity to get in contact with Austrian commercial agents would be the placement of an ad (in exchange for payment) in the monthly published magazine "HANDELSAGENT", which is sent automatically to every Austrian commercial agent.
